Joey Wondra is a true professional when it comes to furniture. He serves as FSIoffice’s Furniture Purchasing Manager and is very passionate about the many projects he works on. Joey also has a lot of interests outside of work and we believe you should get to know him!
What do you love most about what you do and about working at FSIoffice in general?
I love the culture and working with the people I work with every day.
Tell us about your job position and some of your typical work tasks.
I am the Furniture Purchasing Manager. I am responsible for making sure that special furniture orders and stock are orchestrated properly through the system.
What is your favorite thing to do in Charlotte?
I like going to Panthers games with my kids. We also like going to the ImaginOn Center, Discovery Place, and Blumenthal Performing Arts Center as a family.
What is a fun fact about you that we may not know?
I love to cook.
What are your biggest interests outside of work?
Hiking, biking, going to the mountains, cooking.
Who is your favorite musician/musical group?
I don’t really have a favorite group, but I like a lot of different artists and genres. I guess you could say that it changes from day to day depending on the type of mood that I’m in. Billy Joel, AC/DC, Matthew West, Queen, For King & Country, Imagine Dragons, Dave Matthews, and Elton John.
What is your favorite scene of your favorite show/movie?
One of my favorite movies is Moneyball. I love the idea of reinventing an age-old system of doing things and thinking outside the box when it’s not conventional wisdom.
If you could visit anywhere in the world for free, where would you go?
I’ve always wanted to visit Alaska.
