What do you love most about what you do and about working at FSIoffice in general?

There is never a dull moment. I work with the best group of people. We are so blessed that we work for a company that we can share our faith and pray for each other.

Tell us about your job position and some of your typical work tasks.

My main position is placing the orders for special furniture orders and making sure they are correct once we get the acknowledgements back. I handle the Government orders.

What has been your favorite project or task at FSIoffice?

I have worked on a lot of big projects but probably the biggest was one for The City of Suffolk. I was not sure the placing of orders was ever going to end on that one. It was one that just kept giving. But it was great.

Before working at FSI, what was the most unusual or interesting job you have ever had?

My husband and I were part owners of a Building and Supply Company for 10 years before coming to FSI. We rode to/from work every day and sat about 3 feet from each other in our office. We did pretty good working together but the stress of running a business is a lot.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you “grew up”?

I remember only 2 things I thought about. The first was to be a missionary and the second was a PE teacher. I was very much a TOMBOY!!!

I would like to one day go to Hawaii.

Not sure about this one. I do eat a lot of chicken.

What are some of your favorite activities and interests outside of work?

My grandchildren, church and working in my yard with my husband.

What’s a miscellaneous fun fact about you?

People think I am weird because I like to clean and I like to work.

What more can you tell us about yourself?

I have been married for 35 years. I have 1 son and 1 daughter and 2 wonderful grandsons.

I enjoy my family, my job and doing for others.
