Teacher All Stars: How FSI Office Supports our Educators
Since 2010, FSIoffice has been on a mission to recognize and support teachers who dedicate their lives to educate the youth of our community. With the Teacher All Stars (TAS) program, we’ve highlighted the incredible efforts of teachers and provided much-needed classroom supplies to help them succeed.
Each year, FSIoffice and our industry partners donate school supplies to over 600 teachers. These donations ensure that educators have the resources they need to create a productive learning environment, allowing them to focus on what they do best—teaching.
Recognizing excellence in teaching is at the heart of this program. FSIoffice and our partners recognize one outstanding teacher each month from September through April, culminating in the selection of a Teacher All-Star of the Year. This initiative was created to celebrate the dedication and impact of teachers in our communities. The Teacher All-Stars program has grown significantly, with over 400 teacher nominations annually. Since 2010, more than 5,500 teachers have been nominated, and over $550,000 worth of school supplies have been distributed to these deserving educators. This effort has directly helped over 32 million students.
How It Works
The process begins with nominations from the community. Each week, people from North and South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and the Hampton Roads area of Virginia nominate deserving teachers with a short essay. FSIoffice then reviews each qualifying nomination and selects the top ten candidates for the public to vote on. Qualifying nominations must be at least 300 characters long.
Monthly voting involves the public casting their votes for the teacher they believe most deserves the title of Teacher All-Star. Every teacher nominated receives a gift bag, while monthly Top Ten winners get a gift box. The Teacher All-Star for the month is awarded a special prize bin filled with school supplies. In April, we chose 3 “Wildcard” Teacher All-Stars from the previous months Top Ten finalists. All monthly winners (and Wildcards) are eligible to be chosen as the Teacher All-Star of the Year.
The Teacher All Star of the Year is honored at an awards dinner and receives a prize package valued at $5,000 in supplies for their classroom and classroom furniture from HON valued at over $50,000. Past award dinners were hosted at notable venues like the Charlotte Motor Speedway and Knights Stadium.

Amplifying Awesomeness
To further amplify the impact of our program, we encourage communities to promote the nomination of deserving teachers. By spreading the word and supporting local nominees, communities can ensure their educators receive the recognition they deserve. Promoting voting and publicizing monthly winners helps build excitement and engagement within the community.
Media partners play a crucial role in our efforts. Reporting on the need for teacher support, promoting the TAS program, and publicizing winners helps raise awareness and encourages more participation. By recognizing and celebrating the Teacher of the Year, we highlight the significant accomplishments of our educators and the positive impact they have on their students and communities.
