This month we’re highlighting one of the most cheerful and friendly faces that grace the halls of FSI-the one and only, Selena Hines. Selena started at FSI 11 years ago as an Order Processor in our Charlotte warehouse. Two years ago she moved to the Advertising Department to become our first-ever Print Services Specialist. Selena is now responsible for preparing quotes for customers on custom printing jobs including business cards, envelopes & letterhead, calendars and more!
When asked what her favorite thing is about working at FSI, she responded, “One of the best parts of my job is the people I work with in Advertising. I work with a WONDERFUL group of people who motivate, help and encourage each other.”
When she first moved into her current role, Selena coordinated an exciting and memorable kick-off for the new Print Services division.
“My favorite memory of working at FSI was the June Sales Meeting in 2013 when fellow co-workers volunteered their time to help me with the presentation themed ‘We are on Fire for Print Services.’ We were able to dance and have fun while introducing Print Services to the company at the sales meeting,” said Selena.
Outside of work, Selena likes to hike, jog, volunteer at the homeless shelter and spend quality time with her family. She is also an avid sports fan and loves to cheer on her Carolina Panthers! Selena is originally from Chicago, Illinois, however she was raised by Southern parents so she considers herself a country girl at heart. Three years ago she married the love of her life, Marcus, and though they don’t have kids, she does have a niece and nephew that she considers her own.
Selena also has a great sense of humor. Her cat, a Maine Coon, which are known to weigh up to 30lbs, is named Kitty.
You’re likely to see Selena power walking through the building, always working her hardest to provide our employees and customers the best product and service possible. But she always makes time to enthusiastically greet everyone and you’ll never catch her without a smile on her face. Selena is a valuable member of our FSI team and has thrived in her various roles here, a true jack of all trades.
